Eligibility to register
  • You are eligible for membership if you have a child or children in full time education at a state-funded primary school in West Sussex.
  • Wastebuster have the final determination of eligibility to subscribe for any Wastebuster service or option requiring registration.equiring registration.

  • These terms of use govern the use of the West Sussex Wastebusters website (Site) and all related content.
  • Wastebuster reserves the right to change terms of use at any time and will make Users aware of any changes by means including, but not limited to, posting on the Site.
  • If specific terms and conditions appear in other areas of the Site relating to specific material, services and site use then they will prevail over these terms of use.
  • In using this Site and associated content Users agree to abide by these terms of use (and any other relevant specific terms and conditions related to specific services, contents or use of the Site).

  • Wastebuster grants licence to view, download and print pages (accessible by the User) from the Site, provided that:

  • In no event shall Wastebuster’s total liability to Users for all damages, losses and causes of action (whether in contract, or not (including, but not limited to, negligence) or otherwise) exceed the amount paid by the User, if any, for Wastebuster membership.
  • However, nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
  • Wastebuster is not responsible for the contents or reliability of linked external, third party websites and recommends parental supervision. Wastebuster does not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them and listing shall not be taken as endorsement of any kind.
Restricted access
  • Access to certain areas of the Site is restricted. Wastebuster reserve the right to restrict access to other areas of the site, with reasonable cause, at their discretion.
  • Wastebuster members/ Users are responsible for keeping Usernames and passwords secure and permitting usage.
  • Wastebuster may disable members IDs and passwords if Users breach any of the policies or terms governing the use of the Site or any other contractual obligations.

Recycle it Right Pledge Challenge Terms and Conditions

Pledging

  • Registered pledgers will see all signed up children receiving badges and allocation of linked pledge numbers to each school’s total.
  • The prizes available are three Captain Busta mascots (made from recycled plastic bottles), twenty sets of Wastebuster Top Trumps and ten refillable water bottles (made with recycled plastic).

By submitting user generated content as proof of completing a West Sussex Wastebusters Activity you are entering into a competition
Eligibility

You are eligible for entry to the West Sussex Wastebusters Activities competition if the user generated content submitted as evidence of completion was created by a young person in full time education at a state-funded primary school in West Sussex.

  • There are 3 West Sussex Wastebusters Activities;
    • Activity 1: Be a West Sussex Wastebuster Star
    • Activity 2: The West Sussex Wastebuster Treasure Hunt
    • Activity 3: West Sussex Wastebuster Food Detective
  • Each competition activity is its own competition with the winner’s being decided by judging criteria given.
  • The prizes available are;
    • For Activity 1: a personalised clapper board
    • For Activity 2: a children’s arts and crafts set
    • For Activity 3: a personalised kids baking set
