Welcome!
Let's get started with the Recycle it Right Challenge! Are you a school signing up to take part, or are you signing up your child as a Wastebuster cadet?

The West Sussex Wastebusters home learning website is jam-packed with enriching, child-led waste prevention and recycling focused activities.
Your children can enjoy learning about waste prevention and recycling by completing quizzes, treasure hunts, crafts, cooking and more. Busta and crew are on hand with brand new videos and tips to support, guide and entertain young Wastebuster Cadets throughout their mission!
Become a Wastebuster Cadet to make a real difference by reducing waste and “Recycling It Right”.
Children completing the home learning activities will earn Wastebuster Cadet badges and have opportunities to win fantastic prizes. If they wish, children can share their work with other children, via the online gallery.
West Sussex schools and families are invited to take part in the “Recycle it Right” Pledge Challenge from 1st February – 6th June 2021. The Challenge is designed to support children and families to care for the environment by improving recycling habits.
West Sussex families can make one pledge to support all their children’s schools (all state primary schools that the family’s children attend will receive a pledge) and each child will earn their Pledge Badge.
The school gaining the highest percentage of family pledges will win a year’s subscription to National Geographic Kids for Schools, including print magazines and unlimited online access to the National Geographic Kids online library of primary resources.
Families pledging will be entered into a fortnightly prize draw with the chance to win an exclusive Wastebuster prize, including Captain Busta plushie mascots (made from 5 recycled plastic bottles!), sets of Wastebuster Top Trumps and Wastebuster ‘Litter Things Matter’ refillable water bottles.
So, don’t delay! It’s time to act – for your school, your family and the planet! Pledge to “Recycle It Right” today!
Take the ‘recycle it right family challenge’ now!
This leaderboard shows West Sussex schools, ranked by the percentage of families that have taken the pledge to recycle right.
